Could it be Condensation?

Condensation presents its self as water droplets on cold surfaces of your building. Common places are windows, corners of rooms, behind furniture etc.

The reason why it happens is all to do with the temperature inside and outside the building and the amount of moisture in the air inside the property.

Our engineer will in most cases be able to explain ways to manage the humidity within your property with minimum work being required allowing you to stay in control of your condensation problem.

Top Tip for Condensation

Tackle moisture at source – bathrooms & kitchen, not necessarily where the condensation is at its worst!

Could it be Rising Damp?

Rising damp, contrary to popular belief is a relatively rare form of damp that affects the walls of buildings. It occurs when moisture from the ground travels up through the walls. This process is known as capillary action,  ground water is effectively sucked up through capillaries in the bricks, like a series of straws leaving the lower portion of the wall wet.

On the very rare occasion that our engineer might diagnose rising damp as the cause of your damp issue you can rest assured that our damp report will contain all the relevant recommendations for you to efficiently rectify the problem.
